Cape Liberty Cruise Port, Bayonne New Jersey

I drove back through Staten Island NY instead of taking the New Jersey turnpike back. Then right over the outerbridge crossing back over to Jersey. I think I like that way better.
Here's Lady Liberty with her back to New Jersey LOL!

I drove my brother and his wife today to Bayonne to catch a cruise ship. Seems they're always off to somewhere. Must be nice. You used to have to go to one of the piers on the West side of Manhattan so this makes it more convenient for those of us on the Jersey side. Opened in May of 2004, the cruise port is located on The Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor, formerly the Bayonne Navy Base/MOTBY facility. Fifteen minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport and seven miles south of Manhattan.
It was a short 20 minute drive and traffic wasn't too bad just lots and lots of damn trucks.
You have to drive through the old Navy yard with its abandoned warehouses and old barracks. Would be a great place to film a porno I thought and great place to cruise at night too! I planned on taking some pics but it was a quick drop off and then you had to move on. Seeing the cruise ship docked there was awesome. I'll try and take some pics when I go back in 9 days to pick them up. I found these pics on the internet to give you an idea of what it's like.
